Centrally managed mobile solution for Puma from CloudClevr
Puma is one of the fastest-growing sports brands in the world, providing lifestyle fashion for men, women and children.
The challenge
Puma was considering ways to streamline its operations, and
business mobiles were identified as an area for improvement. Their existing agreement was with a Vodafone direct partner, but they had limited visibility of mobile spending and struggled with excessive data usage.
With no effective account management from Vodafone direct or any proactive reporting in place, Puma had an extra burden on an already stretched internal IT resource.
The solution
Puma has been a customer of CloudClevr’s subsidiary, NGC Networks Limited, for many years, with NGC managing Puma’s telephone systems across the UK. The strong relationship and excellent support they had received prompted a discussion around NGC managing Puma’s business mobiles.
Initially, a pilot project was undertaken for a new division within Puma. As a result of the overwhelming success of the project, NGC took over the rest of the business mobiles for the UK operation, comprising over 120 users nationwide. The new solution migrated users onto a SIM-only Vodafone contract that is managed and billed exclusively by NGC.
NGC created a tailormade mobile package that adapts to Puma’s changing requirements. This offered flexible tariffs with large data bundles for no additional cost and inclusive minutes to non-geographic numbers and international destinations.
NGC’s online billing portal provides instant access to Puma’s account, detailing current spending and data usage. Alongside this, a dedicated account manager proactively monitors the account, undertaking monthly account reviews to highlight and recommend ways to reduce overall spending further.
As a value-add, NGC also worked with Puma to provide customised mobile reports each month that are tailored to Puma’s exact requirements. These reports save both time and money for Puma when managing their mobile phone contracts.
The results
Within the mobiles market, prices can often be driven down, but the lowest price mobile contract does not necessarily equate to the best value.
Puma is achieving monthly savings on their mobile costs and the ease of management has helped drive further efficiencies across the business. The internal resource required to manage Puma’s mobiles has been reduced, leaving the IT team to focus on other key areas
of the business.
The mobile billing is now seamless and runs through a single supplier, providing greater economies of scale. Any moves, adds, and changes can now be actioned quickly, ensuring the solution evolves with the needs of the business.
The proactive approach to account management and the team’s ability to analyse data and present top-line reports of trends provides greater visibility and transparency around mobile usage. This
ensures any issues are identified and quickly addressed, which drives continual savings and operational efficiencies for Puma.
